SOUTHERN SECTION FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS : Los Alamitos, Esperanza Will Be Home Teams

Los Alamitos and Esperanza will be the home teams for the semifinal round of the Southern Section Division II playoffs.

Top-seeded Los Alamitos (12-0) will play host to unseeded La Crescenta Crescenta Valley (11-1) Saturday night at Long Beach Veterans Stadium.

Third-seeded Esperanza (11-1) will play host to second-seeded Pasadena Muir (11-1) Friday night at Valencia High.

Semifinal games in the section’s 11 divisions will be split between Friday and Saturday nights, with the exception of Division VII: Rancho Alamitos’ game at Lompoc has been switched to Friday night. Kickoffs are at 7:30 p.m.

Division IV

Corona del Mar (8-4) at Newport Harbor (10-2)

Division VII

Garden Grove (6-6) vs. Sunny Hills (10-1-1) at Buena Park High

Rancho Alamitos (10-2) at Lompoc (9-3)

Division VIII

Century (7-4-1) at San Marino (9-2)
