A POOR TRADE
According to Selcraig’s article, the United States will spend $840 million to construct water treatment plants on the Mexican side of the border. The United States also will, if the free trade agreement is ratified, allow more U.S. companies to move to Mexico to take advantage of the nonexistent environmental controls, further polluting the Rio Grande. At the same time, Mexico continues to send us illegal aliens, costing the United States billions.
The United States will assume all the burdens, while Mexico gains all the advantages. Why?
