PREP ROUNDUP : Campbell’s Three Goals Pace Canyon to Girls’ Soccer Victory

Kim Campbell scored three goals to lead the Canyon girls’ soccer team to a 6-1 nonleague victory over Fullerton Tuesday at Canyon.
Campbell, a senior forward who was Orange County’s leading scorer her freshman and junior seasons, has 12 goals this season for Canyon (8-0), the second-ranked team in the county.
Jenny Looney, Ingrid Anderson and Krista Broughton each added goals for Canyon, which scored five second-half goals. Fullerton scored the first goal this season against Canyon’s defense and goalkeeper Tina Thompson, who had six saves.
In other nonleague girls’ soccer:
El Dorado 1, Rosary 0--Carlye Wind scored as El Dorado (4-2) knocked off Rosary (3-2).
El Modena 7, Orange Lutheran 0--Kristi Hales and Kaylee Whitfield each had two goals for El Modena (4-0-1), ranked seventh in the county.
Estancia 0, Los Alamitos 0--Heather Thomas had nine saves for eighth-ranked Los Alamitos (3-2-1). Christina Grigaitias had 12 saves for Estancia (3-3-1).
Laguna Hills 3, Rancho Alamitos 0--Nicole Restivo scored two goals to lead ninth-ranked Laguna Hills (5-3).
Marina 5, Mission Viejo 1--Amy Rubenstein scored three goals as sixth-ranked Marina (4-1) topped Mission Viejo (2-3).
Orange 1, Troy 0--Jenny Van Behren scored the only goal to lead Orange past Troy (6-2).
Saddleback 4, Santa Ana Valley 0--Thania Cruz, Diane Held, Emma Hernandez and Ana Rosales each scored for Saddleback (4-2). Yesenia Orozco had 11 saves for Santa Ana Valley (0-5).
Trabuco Hills 1, Esperanza 0--Tammi Daman scored on a direct kick with five minutes remaining to give Trabuco Hills (5-1) the victory. Suzanne Bennet had eight saves for Esperanza (2-5-1).
Tustin 3, Fountain Valley 3--Nikki Manning helped Tustin close the margin to 2-1 with a goal from 35 yards 10 minutes into the first half. Linda Madrid and Jenny Julian also scored for Tustin (1-1-1). Karen Serynek, Karrie Layton and Sharon Gillis scored for Fountain Valley (2-1-2).
Valencia 5, Loara 0--Amber Dickey scored twice and teammates Michele Lytle, Chris Schiebeck and Jessica Wilson each scored once for Valencia (2-4). Tammy Hyde had 15 saves for Loara.
Villa Park 0, Sonora 0--Leah Naujoks had five saves for Villa Park, and Ann Ivory had seven saves for Sonora (1-3-1).
In nonleague boys’ soccer:
Troy 3, Tustin 1--Rob Ruzzi scored twice to lead Troy (4-1-1) over Tustin (1-1).
Laguna Beach 5, Capistrano Valley Christian 0--Charlie Whittemore and Logan Graham each scored twice for host Laguna Beach (4-2-1). John Grooms also scored for the Artists.
In Sunset League field hockey:
Santiago 6, Westminster 0--Claudia Aguilar scored twice to lead Santiago (4-0-1, 3-0 in league) over Westminster (0-4, 0-3).
In nonleague wrestling:
Laguna Hills 52, Woodbridge 13--Casey Elliott, Kevin Ely and Mark Zolikoff each won their matches for host Laguna Hills (8-2). Woodbridge is 0-1.
Kennedy 43, Los Alamitos 21--In his first season, coach Tom Milich had his first win at Kennedy (1-2) with the victory over Los Alamitos (0-2). In the 103 weight division, Greg Wyatt increased his record to 3-0. Teammates Heemok Kim and Joe Huffman are also undefeated in the 112 and 119 weight classes.
