Alhambra : Surplus Gear to Be Sold

In a departure from past practice, the Fire Department has agreed to sell surplus hoses and fittings to a salvage company rather than donate the equipment to Mexico.
The Silver Bullet Co., which services and repairs the Amkus Tool (Jaws of Life), offered the Fire Department a $500 credit against a $1,076.45 bill for the equipment.
The City Council unanimously authorized the sale.
