World IN BRIEF : CAMBODIA : 21 Peacekeepers Freed by Rebels

Twenty-one U.N. peacekeepers taken hostage by the militant Khmer Rouge guerrilla faction in central Cambodia were freed, a U.N. spokesman said in Phnom Penh. The captured men--15 Indonesians, two Cambodian translators and one military observer each from the United States, China, France and Senegal--were captured in embattled Kompong Thom province Tuesday and Wednesday. Most left the hostage site after being freed.
