Lynwood forward Teresa Wiseman hit a layup with 16 seconds left to give Lynwood a 50-49 victory over Crenshaw in the semifinals of the Los Angeles Invitational tournament Wednesday night at East L.A. College.
Despite committing 22 fouls, Lynwood still managed to control the game, using a full-court, man-to-man press to keep Crenshaw from scoring position.
Crenshaw outscored Lynwood, 12-6, to overcome a five-point third-quarter deficit and led 44-43 with 3:09 remaining. The Knights, however, regained the lead, outscoring the Cougars by four during the next minute.
The Cougars took the lead back and Tanya Barton’s free throw set up Wiseman’s heroics.

LYNWOOD--Adams 19, Kirby 10, Tapusoa 8, Grimes 5, Matthews 5, Wiseman 3.
