Curbside Recycling
Again politically correct bureaucrats redefine success , this time it’s pure garbage. Touting a 90% curbside compliance with trash presorting does not mask the hypocrisy of failed recycling. At a taxpayer loss of from $30 to $40 to process each ton of recycled trash, these state-mandated fiascoes are the up-and-coming boondoggles of the 1990s. Mandating an arbitrary 25% reduction in landfill refuse corrupts any potential, and far more effective, free market recycling enterprise.
