PLACENTIA — Police on Tuesday were looking for a 22-year-old man who reportedly disappeared with his girlfriend’s 4-year-old daughter.
Sean Patrick Flanery had been fighting with his girlfriend, Marianna Kirby, 35, before disappearing with her daughter sometime Monday, said police spokeswoman Corinne Loomis.
“He was babysitting the little girl, dropped the mom off for work in the morning and wasn’t there to pick her up in the afternoon,” Loomis said. “They haven’t been heard from since.”
Loomis said the couple had planned to marry and that the argument had been over the date.
Flanery was seen between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in Irvine picking up a check from an employer for whom he had worked for one day. The girl was with him, police said.
Heather Kirby is white, three feet tall, weighs 35 pounds, has hazel eyes and brown, shoulder-length hair. She was wearing a “Beauty and the Beast” T-shirt, pink pants and a purple and green jacket when last seen.
Flanery is black, 6 feet 4 and weighs 225 pounds. He was driving Kirby’s 1988 blue Nissan Sentra with the license plate number 2KVA987.
