The Region : Metrolink Offers Discount

The Metrolink commuter rail system is offering a two-for-the-price-of-one inducement to buy a monthly pass. Riders who buy a pass this month can use it in February too.
In the San Gabriel Valley, the Metrolink trains run from Claremont to downtown Los Angeles with stops in Pomona, Covina and El Monte.
A monthly pass from Claremont to downtown costs $144. Sunday is the deadline to buy a January pass from automatic ticket machines at train station stops. However, passes can also be bought during the month at the Metrolink ticket window at Union Station in Los Angeles.
