Two new members have been appointed to the Senior Advisory Board, a citizens committee that advises the City Council on matters relating to senior citizens and the various programs affecting them.
The City Council this week appointed Jean Lowry and Donald Miller to serve two years, effective immediately, on the five-member board.
Margarete Thompson, who has served on the board since it was created in 1989, was reappointed to another two-year term.
Lowry replaced Janet Schwartz while Miller will take the place of Ken Hoesterey.
Lowry and Miller were selected from among seven Tustin residents who answered invitations from the Community Services Department. They were recommended by the Senior Center staff.
The first meeting this year will be Jan. 28.
