The Baltimore Orioles became the fifth major league team to ban smoking in the seating sections of an open-air ballpark, citing concern over the comfort and safety of their nonsmoking fans.
The policy, which will take effect this season at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, prohibits smoking in the seating areas and restrooms.
Detroit, San Diego, Oakland and Toronto have similar policies.
