- Share via
Football and specials will be the main sources of TV entertainment this weekend, with a premiere of a travel documentary on Arts & Entertainment, a reunion on CBS and the NFL’s conference semifinals on CBS and NBC.
Carol Burnett is getting her gang back together for “The Carol Burnett Show: A Reunion,” Sunday on Channels 2 and 8.
It’s been 14 years since the show’s original cast of Burnett, Vicki Lawrence, Harvey Korman, Tim Conway and Lyle Waggoner has performed as a troupe. Featured will be new and vintage clips--notably the parodies of “Sunset Boulevard” and “Gone With the Wind.”
Also on Sunday, “Pole to Pole,” Michael Palin’s epic eight-hour travel series, begins at 5 and 9 p.m. on A&E.;
The AFC playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers starts at 9:30 a.m. today, on Channels 4, 36, and 39. At 1 p.m., the NFC matchup between the Washington Redskins and the San Francisco 49ers begins on Channels 2 and 8.
On Sunday, the NFC’s Philadelphia Eagles-Dallas Cowboys game begins at 9:30 a.m. on Channels 2 and 8, and the AFC’s San Diego Chargers-Miami Dolphins contest stars at 1 p.m. on Channels 4, 36 and 39.
The public-affairs shows will focus on the new Clinton Administration, the new Congress and continuing problems with Iraq.
