Not Everyone Thinks Robinson’s Comeback Means USC Will, Too
- Share via
Let me get this straight. John Robinson leaves the USC football program in 1982 with a bare cupboard and the team slapped with NCAA sanctions. Yet the school’s alumni and fans welcome him back with open arms 10 years later. Now John says that his athletes will attend class and that he will obey the NCAA rules.
Not only does USC live in the glorious ‘60s, but it seems that the drugs they were using back then have long aftereffects. Seriously, John, who read the NCAA rule book for you? We know it wasn’t you. What’s next, the return of Mr. Innocent himself, Marv Goux?
It’s good to know that you haven’t lost your arrogance after all those years, John, the mark of a true Trojan. But beware of the NCAA; it isn’t as blind as it once was.
Welcome home, John, your family missed you.
