The San Francisco Giants signed outfielder-first baseman Todd Benzinger to a one-year contract worth $500,000. He can earn another $200,000 in bonuses.
Benzinger hit .239 with four home runs and 39 RBIs in 121 games for the Dodgers last season.
The Giants also signed outfielder Mark Carreon to a minor league contract and he will attend spring training as a nonroster player.
