Reggie Johnson scored a technical knockout of Ki-yun Song 40 seconds into the eighth round to retain the World Boxing Assn. middleweight title in Boise, Ida. On the undercard, Rafael Ruelas of Arleta, Calif., knocked out Roberto Burgos in the first round of a scheduled 10-round middleweight fight.
