Two Freight Trains Crash Head-On; 1 Person Killed

AURORA, Ill. — Two freight trains crashed head-on Wednesday, killing one person and injuring another, authorities said. An eastbound Southern Pacific train collided with a westbound Burlington Northern train just east of a railroad switching yard, Kane County Sheriff’s Sgt. Bob Cannon said.
