SUN VALLEY : Gunman Wounds Man in Parked Car

A gunman shot a man in the back Tuesday in a gang-related shooting in Sun Valley, Los Angeles police said.
The victim, whose name was not released, was sitting with a friend in a car parked in the 8100 block of De Garmo Avenue when a gunman approached and fired several shots at the car, Sgt. Richard Thomas said. The two men--one hit in the back by a bullet that barely missed his spinal cord--got out of the car, Thomas said, and the gunman then fled in the vehicle.
The victim was listed in good condition at Holy Cross Medical Center and was expected to be released Tuesday night, Thomas said.
