LOS ANGELES : Boy, 3, Wounded by Stray Bullet in Gang Shootout

A 3-year-old boy at a phone booth with his mother was wounded in the head Friday as rival gang members shot it out on a Los Angeles street, police said.
Police arrested two boys and seven men, from 14 to 22, in connection with the shooting, Rampart Station Detective Terry Wessel said.
Rogelio Morales and his mother, Anna, were outside a post office at 7th Street and Burlington Avenue at 1 p.m. when several rival gang members began shooting at each other, police said. One of the bullets hit the boy in the head, police said.
The boy was in critical condition at Childrens Hospital.
