Role of the Virgin Mary

In response to “Images of Mary Grow as Some Seek to Recast Her,” Feb. 1:
It was with great satisfaction that I read Larry Stammer’s article on the increasing visions of the Virgin Mary on the front page and not in the Religion or View sections.
The phenomena of images and messages from Mary throughout the world should not be dismissed as hysteria nor ridiculed as fakery.
Millions of Christians in all nations believe in her message that the Roman and Orthodox churches must be united and that humans must put aside their ethnic, religious and class differences and unite in brotherly love or a global catastrophe will occur . . . soon.
