Toxic Discharges

Under the state Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act, Ventura County must report each week the toxic and potentially toxic materials discharged. The discharges are investigated by the county Environmental Health Division. DATE: Feb. 5 LOCATION: San Miguelito Field-Grubb No. 200, Ventura MATERIAL: Seven barrels of crude oil DATE: Feb. 6 LOCATION: San Miguelito Field-Grubb No. 802, Ventura MATERIAL: One barrel of crude oil DATE: Feb. 11 LOCATION: 335 Avocado Place, Camarillo MATERIAL: Two barrels of oil DATE: Feb. 11 LOCATION: Solimar sewage pump station, Ventura MATERIAL: 200 gallons of raw sewage DATE: Feb. 16 LOCATION: Los Robles Road near Hampshire Road, Thousand Oaks MATERIAL: 300 gallons waste water
