JUST DO IT: While local police ponder the potential for violence over a verdict in the Rodney G. King federal trial (B3), long-term efforts are underway to promote harmony in diversity and to forestall possible unrest in Orange County. . . . A task force of about 100 civic leaders, called Orange County Together, will meet again Thursday in Santa Ana to develop a plan of action based on goals hammered out since last July. . . . “We want to create road maps to a future where diversity is our strength, not our undoing,” says Rusty Kennedy, executive director of the county’s Human Relations Commission.
