Natoya Helps Fullerton Upset Cerritos

CERRITOS — Bobby Natoya made a 25-footer with three seconds remaining to give Fullerton College the biggest upset in the first round of the Southern California playoffs, a 78-76 victory over second-seeded Cerritos on Saturday.
Fullerton (16-17) was seeded No. 31 in the 32-team field. Cerritos, the South Coast Conference champion, finishes 23-6.
Natoya scored a team-high 25 points and teammate Jeff Carlson added 17. Fullerton advances to play at MiraCosta in the second round Wednesday. MiraCosta beat College of the Canyons, 73-65.
Fullerton led, 38-26, at the half and Natoya’s shot allowed the Hornets to overcome second-half rally by Cerritos.
