Architect to Be Honored: Kudos will go to Newport Beach architect William E. Blurock on April 13 when the USC School of Architecture recognizes him as its 1993 Distinguished Alumnus.
Blurock, who graduated from the school in 1947, has worked on such projects as the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the mall at the Santa Ana Civic Center.
Being back on campus will not be a novelty for Blurock. Some of his company’s best-known work has been done at colleges and universities. His firm, the Blurock Partnership, has designed and master-planned projects on 32 campuses in California.
