Chapman President Elected to First American Financial Board

James L. Doti, 46, has been elected to the board of directors of First American Financial Corp. in Santa Ana. He will also serve on the board of the company’s primary subsidiary, First American Title Insurance Co. Doti is president of Chapman University in Orange. He joined the economics faculty at Chapman University in 1974 and became director of the university’s Center for Economic Research in 1978. Doti was appointed dean of the School of Business and Economics in 1985 and was elected president of the university in 1991.
