Trappers

In response to “Trappers’ Trade Is the Latest Kill,” Feb. 27:
Since trapping animals for skins is apparently no longer profitable, only those who really enjoy killing for fun and entertainment continue the grisly trade. Trappers are a sad reminder of our plundering past. Seems that if they had respect for the animals they kill, they wouldn’t be taking their lives--particularly for such a frivolous purpose as providing fur coats to the vain and empty-headed among us. The arguments that they are somehow helping the environment or doing God’s will are incredulous if not laughable.
