FULLERTON — The Orange County district attorney’s office Friday refused to pursue a complaint by a Cal State Fullerton fan against Nevada Las Vegas Coach Rollie Massimino lodged over an incident following the Titans’ 84-83 victory over UNLV on Saturday, according to Sgt. Sam Summerlin of Fullerton campus security.
Albert Ogrudski, 28, of Cerritos alleged that Massimino punched him during the aftermath of Fullerton’s upset victory, when jubilant fans stormed onto the court. The district attorney, though, refused the complaint on the grounds of insufficient evidence. According to Summerlin, no credible witness could be found.
“I didn’t go near anybody,” said Massimino, who severely criticized Fullerton’s crowd control after the game. “I was the one who got hit. I was running for my life. No way I hit anybody.
“It’s absolutely ludicrous.”
