LETTERS / FALLING DOWN : Proposition 13 Didn’t Cause the Troubles in L.A.

I was born in Los Angeles. I have lived here all my life. Rather than a wake--up call, “Falling Down” could be called a death knell to this once--beautiful City of Angels. The public outcry against this film is indicative of an overall sense of denial of the urban nightmare that faces each and every one of us on a daily basis. We have seen the monster.
