KOCE Channel 50 in Huntington Beach has posted its best membership fund drive ever, having raised $232,803 during the 17-day campaign that ended earlier this week, station spokeswoman Judith Schaefer said Tuesday. Last year’s spring drive, also 17 days long, brought in $182,157, the previous record. Schaefer attributed this year’s record-breaking success to special programming that included a show with rock star Elton John and a marathon of episodes of the British sitcom “Are You Being Served?”
