Times Mirror Co. announced Monday that Alexander Sann was named president and chief executive of Matthew Bender & Co., the legal publishing unit of the media company that owns the Los Angeles Times.
Sann, 45, who joined Bender in 1973, was named executive vice president and chief operating officer of the company last year. He is a graduate of Knox College in Illinois and earned a law degree from the Columbia University School of Law in New York.
Sann replaces Larry W. Peterson, who remains a Times Mirror vice president.
