Alpha Microsystems: The Santa Ana computer software and systems company reported a loss of $3.7 million, or $1.25 a share, for its fiscal year ended Feb. 28. Annual revenue was $45 million, down from $49.3 million. The company attributed most of the loss to a restructuring during its second fiscal quarter. For the previous fiscal year, Alpha Microsystems posted a profit of $304,000, or 10 cents a share. For the fourth quarter, profit totaled $260,000, or 8 cents a share, compared to earnings of $26,000, or 1 cent a share, for the same period a year earlier. Three-month revenue declined 23% to $9.5 million from $12.4 million.
