CS Northridge Signs 6-6 Forward Samson

Tom Samson, the all-time rebounding leader at St. John Bosco High in Bellflower, has accepted a basketball scholarship from Cal State Northridge.

Samson, 6-foot-6 and 210 pounds, said Monday he signed with Northridge after canceling a recruiting visit to UC Davis.

St. John Bosco (25-3) advanced to the Southern Section Division II-A semifinals where the Braves lost to eventual champion Muir.

Samson averaged 12 points and 14 rebounds while playing center and power forward for St. John Bosco.
