Altadena : Forum on Park Closures

The county Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a community meeting on the possible closures of Farnsworth County Park and Charles White County Park at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The meeting will be at Farnsworth Park’s community building, 568 E. Mt. Curve Ave. It had originally been scheduled for April 14 at Loma Alta County Park.
The two parks are among 72 the county may close to make up a projected $1.16-billion county budget deficit.
County parks officials drew up the list as part of a worst-case-scenario budget for 1993-94.
More than a third of the parks listed are in the San Gabriel Valley.
