STANTON — A vacant house was destroyed by a fire Wednesday night that was apparently started by an arsonist, fire officials said Thursday.
The blaze started about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday at 11501 Santa Rosalia St., Orange County Fire Department spokeswoman Maria Sabol said. Sabol said the owner of the house was unknown Thursday.
“There were several points of origin,” Sabol said. “Combustibles were ignited with an open flame device.” She declined to be more specific while the investigation is still in progress.
Fire officials on Thursday were seeking more information about the blaze, which caused an estimated $50,000 in damage.
Anyone with information about suspects is asked to call (714) 744-0400.
