SIMI VALLEY : Day-Care Gathering Planned for Park

Working parents needing child care for their summer-vacationing children in east Ventura County can meet day-care providers and sample typical activities at a “Day in the Park” today at Rancho Simi Community Park.
The presentation will include information about programs available year-round, but summer provides an especially challenging time for parents who work outside the home, said Connie Lopez, a Simi Valley day-care provider.
The 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. event, which coincides with national celebrations of the Week of the Young Child, will also feature a number of free activities for children.
