Dale Earnhardt led second-round time trials at Martinsville, Va., for the Hanes 500 at Martinsville Speedway.
The five-time NASCAR Winston Cup champion--second to the Rusty Wallace in the driver standings--took the 21st spot in the 34-car lineup for today’s race with a fast lap of 92.371 m.p.h. on the half-mile oval.
