GLENDALE : Man Faces Trial in Home Burglaries

A Glendale man has been charged in a series of home burglaries in Glendale and La Crescenta that occurred over a three-month period, authorities said Wednesday.
Drew MacDonald, 24, was bound over for trial on 14 felony counts of burglary and one of possession of firearms during a May 10 preliminary hearing in Glendale Municipal Court. He will be arraigned Friday, May 28 in Pasadena Superior Court.
The thief sought by authorities was dubbed the “Channel Lock” burglar because he allegedly used various types of pliers to force open doorknobs of at least 15 homes in north Glendale and La Crescent, Sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Cox said.
MacDonald, a printer, was arrested April 28.
