DANCE FEVER: Santa Ana’s St. Joseph Ballet Company, which provides free dance training to inner-city youths (OC Live!) has influenced many--and not just the students who train there with founder Beth Burns, above. . . . Teen-ager Flor de Liz Alzate of Tustin says her hard work with the troupe has inspired her whole family, immigrants from Colombia who had never attended the ballet. “Now my family is going,” Alzate says. “They look up to me so much, and I look up to Beth.”
