Guard Willie Anderson of the San Antonio Spurs suffered a fractured right eye socket during Tuesday night’s loss to the Phoenix Suns and will attempt to play tonight with protective goggles, the team said Wednesday.
Anderson suffered a small medial blowout fracture, according to a diagnosis by Dr. Walter Bain. Anderson was struck by an elbow early in the second period of the playoff game.
The guard has averaged 9.1 points in nine games for the Spurs in the playoffs, including a high of 19 against Portland in Game 3.
