DR. SENATOR: The state Assembly decided last month that Sen. Marian Bergeson (R-Newport Beach) didn’t have what it takes to head the Department of Education. Somehow the people at Pepperdine University didn’t get the word. . . . Pepperdine will honor Bergeson today with a doctor of laws degree. Not only that, Pepperdine asked her to give the commencement address for the Graduate School of Education and Psychology.
