Tour Plans Unclear: Thursday’s earthquake may have dire consequences for showman Tommy Tune, who was in Los Angeles last week to promote his touring stage show “Tommy Tune Tonite!” When the 5.0 quake hit, Tune was descending a staircase at the Chateau Marmount hotel, and in his haste to get to safety, tripped on the bottom stair, breaking a bone in his left foot. Tune has canceled his weeklong Chicago stand, which was to have opened today. Since doctors won’t decide until today whether or not the fracture will require a cast, other tour plans are unclear. For the moment at least, Tune says he is committed to his San Francisco engagement, set to begin June 9. The show is scheduled to play in Los Angeles at the Pantages Theatre July 9-11 and at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa July 13-14.
