PORT HUENEME : Robber Takes Cash From Card Shop

A thief emptied the cash register at a Port Hueneme card shop and fled on foot, police said Monday.
The man, who gave the impression he had a weapon under his jacket, entered Eileen’s Hallmark Shop at Olivera Plaza in the 700 block of Channel Islands Boulevard Sunday, Port Hueneme police said.
He declared, “This is a robbery,” forced two employees to open the cash register and then took off with the cash, police said.
