Monterey Park : Vacancies on 4 City Panels

Applications will be accepted through noon June 18 to fill vacancies on four city commissions.
The Commission on Aging, which has one vacancy, advises the City Council on problems and services involving senior citizens. The commission meets at 7 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of each month.
The Community Relations Commission, which has one vacancy, recommends programs to promote communication among city residents and addresses neighborhood problems. The commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month.
The Historical Heritage Commission, which has one vacancy, works to maintain records on the city’s history and promote its heritage. The commission meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.
The Library Board of Trustees, which has two vacancies, reviews the selection, acquisition and circulation policies of Bruggemeyer Memorial Library. The board meets at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of each month.
