Split Run’s Rally Comes Up Short at Arlington

CHICAGO — Position Of Power defeated late-charging Split Run by 1 3/4 lengths Sunday to win the $28,000 Better Bee Stakes at Arlington International Racecourse.
Position Of Power, a 4-year-old gelding ridden by Carlos Silva, covered six furlongs in 1:09 3/5 for his first stakes win. It was his fourth victory in seven starts this year, seventh in 17 lifetime.
