CorVel’s Net Income, Revenue Rise in Quarter

CorVel Corp.: The Irvine-based provider of medical cost containment and managed care services posted net income of $918,000, or 22 cents a share, for the first quarter of its fiscal 1994, which ended June 30. That compares with net income of $507,000, or 12 cents a share, for the comparable period last fiscal year. Revenue increased 36%, to $18.9 million from $13.9 million.
