CYPRESS — A 17-year-old Compton youth was arrested Wednesday morning after he allegedly stole a car at gunpoint from another teen who had just parked outside his own home, police said.
The suspect, whose name was withheld because he is a juvenile, was also identified as the gun-wielding robber who stole $50 Tuesday from a Texaco gas station at Cerritos Avenue and Valley View Street, police said.
Sgt. Sandy Stanton said the Wednesday carjacking took place shortly before 2 a.m. when a robber brandishing a handgun approached a 17-year-old driver who had just pulled up to his home.
