A group of Camarillo parents who raise funds to keep music programs alive at area elementary schools plans a fund-raising carwash and yard sale Saturday.
Save Our Kids’ Music, the group that funds the band program in Pleasant Valley Elementary School District, plans the sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Los Primeros Structured School on Ventura Boulevard. Group volunteers will wash cars from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. across the street from the school in the parking lot of Henson’s Music.
The group still needs items to sell. Donations can be dropped off from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Los Primeros auditorium.
Contributors may also call Reese Copsey at 484-2415 or Jana Austinson at 388-4712 to have Save Our Kids’ Music volunteers pick up the goods.
All proceeds from the sale and carwash will go toward the district’s music program.
