New Anti-Inflation Measures: China announced curbs on new price reforms and measures to stabilize food prices, state television reported. Nationwide inflation was running at 12.5% annually in the first half of this year, compared to 6.4% during 1992, the State Statistics Bureau reported last month. Annualized urban inflation hit 21.6% in June.
