Police identified a second man killed when a gunman shot his way through a lunchtime crowd at an East Oakland coffee shop. Police said 21-year-old John E. Jones of Oakland died late Friday at Highland Hospital. A lone gunman entered Mr. G’s Coffee Shop in East Oakland about noon Friday and began shooting, hitting four people as customers bolted for the exits, police said. Frederick P. May, 23, of Oakland, died at the scene, the Alameda County coroner’s office said. Police said they had no motive or suspects in the shooting, which sent the wounded staggering into the street. About a dozen people were inside the shop at the time of the shooting.
