HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP : Greene Leads Montclair Prep to Buckley Volleyball Title

Regan Greene had 11 kills Saturday to lead Montclair Prep to a 15-5, 8-15, 15-7 victory over Buckley for the title of the Buckley volleyball tournament. Greene, a junior, was named most valuable player of the tournament. Teammates Vanessa Richlin and Jennifer Joseph made the all-tournament team.
BOYS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
Las Vegas Invitational--Notre Dame’s Mike Wallace finished third, running the 3.0-mile course at Nevada Las Vegas in 16 minutes 40 seconds. The Knights finished third in the small schools division with 83 points. El Modena won with 43. Notre Dame’s John Radmacher finished 10th with a time of 17:24.
Morro Bay Invitational--Arroyo Grande tied Nordhoff in points with 46, but won the meet by virtue of its sixth runner’s finish in the three-mile course at Morro Bay High. Nordhoff junior Javier Ramirez (18:21) finished fifth.
GIRLS’ CROSS-COUNTRY
Las Vegas Invitational--Notre Dame finished seventh, with a team score of 171, at the 2.5-mile course at Nevada Las Vegas.
Morro Bay Invitational--Despite a fourth-place finish overall by junior Monica Berlin (24:08), Nordhoff finished fourth.
