LOS ANGELES : Ouchi to Head Study on City Efficiency

UCLA management professor and mayoral adviser William G. Ouchi will head a committee of citizens to study how to improve the organization and management of Los Angeles city government.
Contributions of $195,000 have been received from First Interstate Bancorp, the Arco Wallis Foundation and other foundations to bankroll the effort, the mayor’s office announced Thursday.
The Committee on Los Angeles will consist of consultants and other management experts selected by Ouchi.
